Hello, Not sure where to post this but .. I am sure it will get moved to the right spot.. I am looking to get a xbox 360 and was going use the Ethernet cord and wonder if there is in Relibale Software or hardware to montior USage

Your router should give you the information you need, hunt around it's settings.

Otherwise, you can try Netlimiter or Bandwidth Monitor.

Neither are free as far as I know.

I suggest you ask a mod to move this thread to programs/software.

It was originally in the OT, I moved it to the wrong section by accident Trying to get a hold of someone who can move it from here to where its supposed to go...

I believe this is in the right section.

Ok, I'll try to help now. This depends if the xbox is connecting to the internet through your computer or not. However, if you have something like networx on your computer you can do some maths(trust me, its very little ), simply subtract the amount your computer uses from the total your router says. Sure it doesn't do everything for you but its darned close

here is the deal i dont have the 360 yet. I have AT&T and the added the stupid Usage Cap and want to make sure dont go over it. which i doubt as high as it is that i would. but kind curious of the usage that the Xbox would use.

If your router supports DD-WRT you can monitor WAN bandwidth total usage.

Also, you aren't going to hit a 200 GB cap simply by playing on the xbox.
Most games use 5-20 KB/sec downstream bandwidth.
