is there a reason you are avoiding water cooling?
Currently dont have the money at the moment since I just got a new mobo and the 212+. and I dont trust water lol. If it leaks Im screwed and I dont trust myself

yep, get the hyoper212+ asap, it is great

but your iddle is a little high, i guess cool n quiet is disabled, also c1e and those energy saving options in bios, your cpu must be at max speed even on iddle, and should be at 800mhz

with phenom msr tweaker you can change that too

btw you load temp is very nice, my 965be got to 65ª on load with the stock cooler

I just remembered that I did turn of CnQ since I was doing some minor OCing but then went back to stock. Thanks for reminding me

15min stress test in prime95 got these. What is tim2 and why is it soooo hot?

I wouldn't worry about it until you have a better cooler on there. And the Corsair units don't really count as water cooling to me (as far as drawbacks etc of a real custom loop), as they don't take any more work to install than a large air cooler. I bet you could get one on there faster than the 212+.

Pic of case from the side would help us see air flow.

The voltage is way too high (possibly causing the CPU overheating), so high that you highly risk your motherboard due to a low quality 3+1 phase design known for problems!
That motherboard is not ready for running a 965. It may fail in trying to do so. Getting a 212+ will make it worse - it will remove important cooling to the VRMs that the stock cooler is providing through blowing on motherboard components.
(You might want to speak with pioneerisloud, he's been through hell with this particular board and on a quad core with only 95W TDP as opposed to the 125W black ed 965; this board recycles an old 2007-2008 VRM design that is lower quality in general - it was never meant to run high TDP quads, and can have problems doing so).

See your TMPIN2 on HWMonitor? Those are the VRMs, running at a highly unsafe 92C during load! They may FRY or BLOW UP if they continue running at those temperatures, over a long period of time!
You need to back down immediately by lowering the voltage, perhaps pursuing an undervolt operation. Your next savings should be put onto a new motherboard, well before a new cooler. The stock cooler can actually handle these chips with overclocks fine, as long as the mounting is correct. The motherboard is a bigger worry in your situation. It is just not 125W quad ready.

I was already planing on ordering a new mobo. I made a topic about it in the AMD mobo section. As you already saw (just noticed.) Will that mobo be good with a 212+? I could probably order it within a week.

and as for the pics the guy above wanted.

Point the 212+ so the airflow goes up and you'll be good.
