Thread Starter
Just wondering your opinion
which should i go
UD3 UD5 & UD7 AM3+ Boards

Will be thinking of upgrading to new AMD CPU when they get released?

What does the community think and why?

Well the only main difference between the boards is the pcie lanes.

Do you need 3 way or quad XFIRE/ SLI? If not go with the UD3 (you can ofcourse run quad with a 6990 or 590)

If you have the money to blow, and plan on staying with AMD, AND you want THE BEST board, get the UD7, although, so far the CHV is 'better'

UD3 UD5 & UD7 all difference come to the point "how many video card's you plan to use"
the bigger number means more PCI-express lines you can get.

Technically, as stated above you can use quad on all of them.

Question is how many PCIE 16 or 8x speed lanes you want.

Entry board with dual 16x pcie lanes and 8+2 power phase.

The 990x and lower is entry, the ud3 - ud7 set is basically based on computing needs. No one should buy a ud7 to run a single card, not even a ud5 for that matter.
