LED TVs are still LCD, LED is just the back-lighting method. You are over-generalizing LED TVs over normal LCD TVs. A lot of the things you mention vary by model.

You can easily sell the Z5500s and buy better 2.0 / 2.1 speakers with less particularly considering you have both Swans and Microlab as brands available to you.

But it's not the backlight. The only difference between a CCFL LCD TV (the ones you call LCD TVs) and a LED LCD TV is the backlight. What matter in picture quality is the panel and firmware. The picture quality difference was the panel and firmware settings and probably a bit of expectation bias as well.

Yeah I know that. But finding someone who wants them is the main problem.
