(That's way too much to be paying for those, even if you're getting them hand-carried & -swum in drybag from Taiwan to Australia.)

Are you putting this in a GT500?
right, to put it simple, i have a cousin who works in a buisness called John King Signs. He is going to put Vinyl stripes on the sides and on top of the 600T case to make it look like a GT500 for me. On top of that i already have bought a real cobra badge from ebay and im gonna stick it above the corsair logo on the front. its how i want to customize my rig.

- LG Blu-Ray Drive
- CM Silent Pro Gold 1000W PSU (curious to know, is this overkill? Would it still be overkill with the 2nd 6970 Lightning?)
- Windows 7 Ultimate 64BIT

Accessories:

- 600T Black Windowed Side panel
- Lamptron CCFL Sound Activated Module (I've seen a vid on this, but how do I install it with the Cold Cathodes?)

Dont get a USB headset if you are after the thunderbolt addon card.

Infact stay away from USB headphones all together
they use software to run and they sound much much worse.

DUDE! An extra $200 for Thunderbolt!?! Ahh well, at least it will help. but im thinking if i could still fit it if i went crossfire with 2 6970's.

and maybe I could save some $$$ if i went with the other corsair headset. i just want some good quality 7.1 headphones that are under $100

As Zyther said, don't get a USB headset or USb headphones. Crappy software and drivers and you'll hear electronic noise from your motherboard as well.

At that price, you might as well get a 120hz monitor.

Try this RAM. (It was me who requested this RAM rofl)

A word on the Sidewinder X6, it has HUGE ghosting problems especially with L-Shift and L-CTRL key combinations. Highly recommend you rethink your keyboard choice.

Actually a very good build.

As for your PSU, as your build stands, you probably need ~700W PSU. If you plan to add a 2nd 6970, I'd stick with a 1000W PSU.

Probably won't be extreme, as this board can SLI and that was the only major feature in the last Extreme (the Lucid Hydra)

Gonna have to suggest an AX850, which is more than enough for both of them. Fully modular and everything, I use it and it's great.
