CPU temp lower than MOBO temp?

Hi there,

my cpu temp is 10 degree lower than case temp. I AM SURE that the CPU temp IS cpu temp, because it acts normally on load. The same with mobo temp.

I think my radeon 4850 (ref) makes A LOT of heat but how to get rid of it?

I've seen a similar setup with a 4850 beneath a Phenom II CPU, they had the motherboard NB between them. Mobo temp taht was reported was the NB temp and at idle it was hotter than the CPU. Under games the NB used to heat a lot since the heat emanating from the rear of the 4850 went up to heat the NB even more. The solution was simply to add a small fan, low RPM to blow air on the rear of the graphics card and over the NB heatsink.
Sidenote: passive NB cooling is rubbish if you don't have enough airflow; a small slow fan goes a long improving this disadvantage.
