Something you might want to ask yourself, why do you care so much that someone doesn't like some of the recent info recently released by Blizzard, like the always on Internet requirement, even for SP, no mods, and real money auction house? Surely it won't affect you and you can still buy the game, yes?

My only real beef is the always on Internet and I won't give them my money b/c of it. I'm sure plenty of others will, that is their choice.

Botting is quite different from a mod to the game. Although I do remember the feeling back in the Glider days with WOW, its like gambling finding the right place to bot where no one will find you and report you.

Perhaps listing explicit details may be more constructive.
Internet connection required to play is a big one for me and many others. Also no mods is a bit annoying but somewhat understandable. Still think they could implement mods while blocking bots. Their in game system turning out to be a lot like wow. Purchasing items with real money. Yea sure more and more games are doing that lately...but is that really fair to the consumer?

A bad move for who? If such a small percentage of customers even care or know about this feature, it really doesn't affect enough people to matter (at least not to Blizzard).

I agree with this, I won't purchase a game that requires Internet for Single Player mode.

Well, for the community of modders for one.

First the mods are gone... Next the game is 60... Afterwards they're going to make you pay extra for multiplayer...

I actual see it coming. "Battlenet requires yearly subscription fee". I would not doubt it....

I agree with you, it's just that the community is such a small one that it really doesn't affect Blizzard's profits.

It's a tough situation in the gaming industry. People are very passionate about their games, and a small percentage want their games to do things like support mods and max out high-end machines, and on the flip-side you have a gaming studio that wants to please as many customers as possible while maximizing profit. The choice that makes the most sense from both sides is that the gaming studio makes a game that will please almost everyone while making as much money as possible so that they can continue making more games in the future, unfortunately this usually means there is little to no mod support and that games aren't going to max out the latest PC hardware because most customers don't have that.

Implying diablo 1 or 2 had any legitimate mods that weren't hacks or bots.

Custom maps are different than mods. Think on this.

As far as buying and selling items for D3, this was already being done HEAVILY for D2, it was just being done on ****ty chinese website that would steal your credit card info. Now it's being regulated by blizzard, which is understandable.

The only thing I really see as kind-of BS is the whole always online thing, however, I can't complain since in Diablo 1+2 you can take your game offline, bot, and then come back online as if you weren't really cheating.

Still, I probably won't be buying this game for some time due to lack of funds, and a need to pay bills, pay for food, etc.
