Integrated graphics or APU? - Page 2

Is your encoding program GPU accelerated or CPU only?
Think about it. AM3(+) platform gives you more options for CPU power.

A cheap card would be the Asus Xonar DG.
The F1A75-V Evo/Pro from Asus is a good choice for the AMD APU. That depends on what you want to spend.
I am pretty sure that onboard should be good enough. All the boards have pretty much the same audio setup anyway. If not, a dedicated card is easy to find.

CPU only....I use DVDFab and Nero Vision for backup and encoding, respectively.
I could always get a dedicated graphics card instead of a mobo with integrated graphics. Heck, my 8400GS does fine as is.
Thanks for the suggestion...make believe reps to you

I'd go for the A8, looks like it fits what you want to do perfectly.

Decided to stick with a dedicated GPU, and got the PHII 945, Asus M5A97 EVO, and some G. Skill DDR3 1866 9-10-9-28.
Thanks for the help. Reps to everyone.
