need moar info. what kinda programs you gonna be using?
photo editing?
Video editing?
Gaming?

I'm gonna let you know now, it ain't gonna be cheap.
you need a PSU as well, and i don't think you can overclock with that board, so it isn't really worth it to upgrade the CPU.

I think any dedicated video card would be your first step as it would offload from your integrated and you would see huge gains in just about everything.

GPU: EVGA GTX 560 Superclocked

PSU: Rosewill green series 630W

Case Fan: 92mm Vantec stealth

Measure how much room you have between the top of the CPU and the left side panel, you need at least 160mm to fit a 120mm tower cooler.
If you have 160mm, then:
CPU Cooler: Xigmatek GAIA SD1283

Thought about maybe dropping $35-$55 for a much better case? Unless you put a fan on the side, seem's like the bottom front could use a fan in that Asus case.

Sauerkraut's right. Just adding a GPU (and you will need a new PSU w/ it) will really put you way way better off than you are right now.

Since that back fan cutout looks like a 92mm one, i don't think a "full size" 120mm tower cooler will fit, but a 92mm one should.
You could also spend more and get a low profile 120mm cooler.
It's really up to you; since you cant overclock, the LOKI should be plenty.
