Thread Starter
I have installed the coolemaster 212+ on a 2500k. I have the following idle temp readings.

Are these temps normal? Core 0 run's a few degree's hotter.

Than you

I used shih tzu thermal paste you can find it at your local Frys electronic store. Looks like it works pretty good.

Thanks

Is it normal for core 0 to run a little hotter then the other core's? My core 0 run's about 6-7 degree's hottter then other. Should i add more thermal paste?

Could i add thermal paste after it has dried?

thanks

I'm running the stock cooler in a (probably not-so-greatly cooled) 800D. My temps are:

-36c
-39c
-37c
-32c

at around 5% load frown.gif

nooooo. Thermal paste is only meant to fill the microscopic lascerations in the metal for the CPU and the Block. you want as little thermal compound as possible while still covering enough of the CPU.

if both surfaces were truly flat with no defects, then you wouldn't want the thermal compound since it would be a perfect contact. this unfortunatley, is a bit out of reach for our current technology.

if you're worried that you seated it incorrectly, then try reseating the block. make sure you clean ALL of the old paste off before putting new paste on.

check out one of my older threads for a bit more info on this topic.

Is this a push and pull config? If not, I might have to get one of those coolers... My idle is about 28-30c.
