What monitors to get?

Thread Starter

So I'm moving to a conventional 3-monitor setup sometime soon, possibly within the next two weeks. I want to get three identical monitors of at least 24". I've never really looked at monitors before; I used to just grab the largest cheapest thing I could find, but now that I'm settling into a conventional setup I'm going to be much closer to, I want quality, as well.

My budget is ~$700 for all three, including shipping. I have a Prime account, so Prime-eligible items on Amazon take priority.

Any help appreciated!

I would concentrate on quality branding with the smallest bezel possible. Let me look around for ya.

*edit
This one looks pretty good.

I posted the newegg link because its $20 more on Amazon right now, and shipping from the egg is free atm on this item.

Budget, largest, most quality.

Pick two.

Anyhow, if you have no interest in going 3x 22" IPS, I recommend asus and acer monitors. They are mostly the highest quality in the low end monitor section.

Generally I mean build quality. I've lived this long without IPS, I can continue to live without it. I'm not even sure its 'advantages' are worth the hideous prices you get charged for it.

You've picked budget and size.

Again, asus and acer. Best players in the low end monitor market. Please link monitors that you are interested in here and we can comment on them. Usually though, the VH series is considered quite good among gamers

e- if you happened to saw my last line of text there before edit, ignore it. I confused you with another guy there for a moment.

At the moment, the only two that have caught my eyes are the one I linked in my OP and the one fuloran linked.

I can't find anything with the designation VH, however. VW, VL, VE, but no VH.

This is a common monitor among OCNers. VH series. Cannot really specifically comment on its performance though.

I'm going to be petty and say 'too small'.

Thanks for the link, though.

I would highly recommend going with one large IPS with a nice resolution vs 3 cheap TN displays.

EDIT: LED: not a big deal at all. Unless you've had big issues with bleeding and highly non-uniform back lighting, you wont see any difference.

Just used it to prove the vh series existance lol.

@above comment. Yes. he'd have to go used most likely but it'd be much better IMO.
