Thread Starter
I'm looking at laptops not for gaming but I was wondering which video card is better?
AMD Radeon HD 6770M or the NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M
Thanks!

Going to be extremely similar performance - go with which ever one is cheaper - generally I'd say the GT 555M is going to win out, but again, depends on what games you play, etc.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M is slightly better than AMD RADEON HD 6770. NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M has the same performance as ATI RADEON HD 5850. Computers with ATI RADEON HD 5850 cost at least x2 more than the once with NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M. I recommend that you buy a computer with NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M, mainly because it is better than AMD RADEON HD 6770, and cheaper than ATI RADEON HD 5850. To find out more information about NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M visit: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-555M.41933.0.html

I am not lying because I own the NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M! My friend has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 video card and when we played Crysis together at the same setting and resolution our FPS were the same! In some places he had +5 ~ 10 FPS more than me, but in others I had +5 ~ 10 FPS more! NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M might be slightly better than ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 for DirectX 9 and DirectX 10 games, although DirectX 11 games run perfectly! If you don't believe to what I say, I am going to send this link: http://videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html ! I like both ATI and NVIDIA in the same way, because I had ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530 before I bought my GT 555M, so be sure that I am telling you what I know from personal experience! And it's absolutely true that my Lenovo IdeaPad Y570 costs 800 euro with Intel Core i7 2630QM/8 GB RAM and NVIDIA GT 555M and it has the same performance as the ACER ASPIRE 8943G which costs 1250 euro and has a weaker i7 720M CPU/8 GB RAM and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850. It shouldn't matter too much, because my friend had an Acer with Intel Core i5/4 GB RAM and Mobility Radeon HD 5850 which isn't such a big difference from the 8943G in the case that Crysis wants 2 GB of RAM and Core 2 Duo! Believe to which information you want, I just wanted to help with your choice! By the way, my laptop has a minimum of 28 FPS, a medium of 36 FPS and a maximum of 48 FPS in Crysis 2 (Hardcore Settings 3/3, maximum resolution 1366x768)! The highest settings in Crysis 2 are Hardcore! And if you don't even believe to that, I am prepared: http://news.laptop.bg/%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%B2%D1%8E%D1%82%D0%B0/%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%B2%D1%8E-%D0%BD%D0%B0-lenovo-ideapad-y570/
