Need help finding a laptop

Hello, I'm looking for a laptop for my brother, a birthday pressie from my mum to him, she wants a red laptop for him, standard 15" screen. anyone know a bargain around? dual core will be perfect, I did find a quad core but find that pointless. Has to be from the UK, or they have to ship to the UK anyway.

this was the one I found: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-g6-...97971-pdt.html

Does it HAVE to be red? That limits your options a lot, most of the inexpensive red laptops I've seen are build by Acer, Gateway, or HP and aren't that good compared to other laptops you can get for the same amount. If she'd consider other colors like gray, black, and brown we can help you find the best laptop for the money.

Also what's your budget and is there anything specific he needs or wants?

well As he's young my mum thought red or blue would of been nice for him, but I guess any colored laptop would do aslong as it looks nice and not a brick, a laptop for the internet, he plays alot of crap like runescape and such, well I myself would of gone for the cheapest laptop as he only plays games like runescape, but call £350 max maybe 400.

I don't know of any computer shops in the UK like Newegg, Microcenter, Frys, Tigerdirect, ect so finding a good laptop is going to be hard. I went on the HP UK site and found this:

http://h40059.www4.hp.com/uk/homelap...erience=direct

It's red, 15.6", Phenom II X3 N830 2.1Ghz, 4GB memory, 500GB 7200rpm hard drive, 5470 switchable graphics, for £369.

If you can link me to some good computer shops in the UK I can probably find you something better.

£350 is $570 USD so I should be able to find better laptops for the money than what I am, maybe I'm not on the right sites or things are just more expensive in the UK. Here's what I found:

http://www.dabs.com/products/lenovo-...s=15-473150000
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/asus-a...09618-pdt.html
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/packar...62673-pdt.html
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/samsun...08146-pdt.html

The HD 3000 Graphics in the Sandybridge laptops is about the same as the 5470M found in the Phenom II laptops but the CPU performance is much better. You'll also get longer battery life and less heat with the Sandybridge laptops. I'd go for the Lenovo due to the build quality and just upgrade the memory to 4 GB if he needs it.
