These are the obvious choices though. I am sure there is another unit that is cheaper and just as good.

Isn't that XFX unit built around the same platform as a HX850? (Seasonic M12D)

If so, I'd get that.
Well, actually I'd drop the 9600GT and stick with what you've already got.

The only cases I can think of where you might gain something out of having it are if you're folding in which case it's still not worth it because it'll hurt your CPU's PPD or if you're using loads of monitors in which case you'd need the 9600GT.

I think you'd lose performance in physX games to be honest.

Edit: What I mean is, is it the same platform as the black edition? I think the black edition was the M12D unit.

Edit2: Looked up a review on the ZX1000, if the ZX850 is of similar quality then ignore what I just said and get the OCZ one. OCZ have a few PSUs that aren't great but if that 850W is like the 1000W model it's not one of them.

Thread Starter
just an update, after checking out the reviews and seeing the ZX850 again, i was able to score a good deal on the ZX850.
Out the door from Microcenter for $162.87, now to process the $30.00 mail in rebate, so 132.87 for the new PSU
Now to flip the XFX, thanks for all the help people!
