How to set CPU voltage up on M4A78LT-M & x3 455

How exactly do you set the cpu voltage up? I have the same board with the x3 455 processor. I looked at CPU over voltage and am confused on exactly how it works, I mean is it applying extra voltage to stock or is it just setting it to the voltage you select after hitting the + key?

Create a new thread for your issue, don't bump an old thread.
I'm not too sure what you mean, can you provide a screenshot?

Where it says CPU Over Voltage, I can type in a voltage or I can hit the plus sign and it goes up incrementally. Like 1.005, 1.015, etc. My question is - is that the voltage I want it to operate at or is it just increase stock voltage by that amount?

Oh, CPU over voltage basically allows you to manually and directly set your CPU voltage (unlike the "+0.05v, +0.1V" values on some other boards)
1.7 though, holy--that is suicidal! Don't set it to that!

I'm pretty sure you will be able to use both the +/- sign as well as type it in.

If you intend to run the processor at stock only, leave the CPU over voltage value set to auto or whatever stock is.

Thanks. I bumped voltage to 1.4 and set freq to 213. Running stable on 4 cores at 3.598 ghz. Not sure what I should do next to push it further. (That was not a screenshot of my bios, but looks the same without the 1.7 volts!)
