I'm not trolling. I have a very serious problem with video games (despite my trolling with COD to the BF community). It's fine to play a few hours a week, but when it becomes your life, it's pathetic. My "father's" cousin came to visit us in America in 2005. He got my brother hooked on computer games (Might & Magic?) to the point where he's playing 6,7,8, and sometimes many more hours a night now (World of Warcraft). That's not normal, and it shows in your social life. Your "friends" are basement dwellers playing the same dorky game that's preventing you from getting laid.

To me, sports aren't the same as what intellects defined it in a dictionary as. They don't consist of a group working together as a team to achieve a common purpose (or whatever that definition laid out by a previous poster was). It's attempting to best another in a form of physical exercise, whether it involves running or lifting. Hell, despite poker being the furthest thing from a sport, it's 10x closer to a sport than video games.
knowing a players average running yards and how many times a team won the super bowl is the same as me knowing the weapon output of the death star and how many x-wing class fighters where there during the first Death Star run in Star Wars A New Hope...its pointless information that doesnt have any real world use.....other then bragging about it or talking about it with a select group of people....
Why would I care about a players statistics? I watch some sports, but very little in comparison to how much I play it. Tracking player stats is almost as pathetic as watching broadcasted gameplay online. It's sad, really. That's time you could be using to learn how to make money, developing your body, or even practicing pickup lines...things that are actually useful in the real world. But then again, most gaming addicts don't live in the real world.
calm down....dont be mad just because fantasy sports is D n D for sports junkies....
D n D? Can you possibly reference a more obscure acronym?
good attempt at trolling though, bravo

How can you tell people that what they like to do / are good at is wrong.. Just because it doesn't conform to your ideals. E-sports is an increasingly large phenomena and you're just jealous that you can't be famous.
This isn't a troll, and it's backed up by my previous posts (in the COD/BF discussion thread) where I've mentioned my stance on video games. It's fine if you play up to an hour a day (average) -- 7 hours a week -- because you are going to find time where you've got nothing better to do. However, are you really trying to tell me devoting your life to pixels on a screen isn't a tad bit sad? Couldn't that time be spent doing something that benefits your family, you, and/or the environment? Imagine if Einstein had spent his time trying to create the first television instead of theorizing about relativity...we'd have had TVs about 50 years earlier, but would have been dumber for it. Basically, what I'm saying is, there's something much more constructive you could be doing to further advance this planet. Sports, obviously, stress the importance of health & conditioning.
You know what my goal is? I want to become wealthy and raise awareness to animal abuse, especially that of dogs & cats, because I frequently have bouts of depression when seeing / hearing about animals being tortured and/or killed. My brother's goal? To play in that damn WoW tournament where they have announcers...along with my 2 best friends (who are just as bad as he is), who got him hooked on WoW [previously he played KalOnline which was similar]. They're super duper duper duper duper good!, but I'm really REALLY not jealous LOL. I just wish people could see how they live their lives, unable to socialize properly, suffering from aggression issues, and obviously, some of them become sociopaths who torture animals and murder. Hell, half the reports about teenagers committing murder show that they're obsessed with COD before going on their rampage (yea...yea...it's "biased").
Gimme a break.
