Do you have a budget for the router? I'm used a Netgear 3500l and my current netgear 3700 have been great. Also linksys e3000 seems to be good. These are a little pricey though. If you don't need Gigabit on them, you can drop down to the lower models to save money.

If your old wireless card is only G, you won't be able to utilize the N speeds from the new router.

I'm partial to Netgear myself. I have the WNDR3700 at home, and 2 at work. They were easy to set up and I haven't had any problems with any of them. They are a little on the high side price-wise.

Yeah im sure my pci wireless card is G, since when i picked it up no one even knew there was a N band...lol. as far as price id like to be in the 50-80$ range. and gigabit eithernet only think id need that for i think is to set up the router right?...idk thats how i had to do it back in the day im sure its differnt now. I mean i like netgear because even though this card is extreemly outdated the only thing its hindered for me in streaming HD via windows media center, and or my xbox...sooo i mean im good with the brand, however its been so long maybe i just got a rock soid older product. I dont mind trying them again or swapping brands. I have noticed a lot of complaints and rants...but at the same time i see rave reviews...my only conclusion to that is that people dont know how to setup there router...or dont pay attention to what they are buying and its missing something they need. so i guess my final conclusion is i just need some decent suggestions on

1 a new wireless card for my pc
2 a N band router that will work well for streaming and possibly blue toof

thanks for the input already gives me some stuff to think about as far as what im looking to buy.

Ya that NETGEAR WNR3500L used to be my primary router, now it's acts as an access point. It's been solid, I've only reset it once or twice in the year or so I've had it. You can also install DD-WRT on it which is always a plus.

I don't think any router has bluetooth, so I don't know anything about that.

I've used two Rosewell Wireless-N USB dongles and they've been pretty good considering they were on sale for $10. Speed is good, maybe disconnected couple times but easily re-establish connection, one didn't need drivers and one did. Don't remember specific models.
