To be honest I would look for a used GTX480 or GTX570 MSI or Asus since they go by the serial number. I've gotten a bum card from evga from an RMA (and an Asus refurb) so they aren't too picky with these refurbs.
Exactly. But you never know with video cards, I had one refurb from EVGA, a 275, for an rma about two years ago, and it works well to this day (in a friend's system).
Yet I had to rma two new 6800's with EVGA back in the stone age. The second 6800 was sent to me new, still shrink-wrapped, like the first, but missing a capacitor, which could be seen through the clear display sleeve, without even opening it (none found rattling around in the box).

I bought an AMP on sale from NCIX as well, but they were all new cards, although it was $289.99 after a $100 Zotac mir.
Full lifetime warranty after registering it, as with EVGA.
Yours was an even better price though, I didn't know that NCIX had any AMP refurbs. Glad it's working well for you.Edited by DerComissar - 8/2/11 at 7:48am
