ASRock Z68 PROFESSIONAL GEN3 vs Maximus IV Extreme-Z

I'm having a little trouble picking out a motherboard for my new build. How many fan headers does the Gen3 have? Who's UEFI Bios is better, Asus or ASRock's? Does anyone own the Gen3?

Isn't the Gene3 PCIE 3.0 compatible with 22nm Ivy Bridge processors? If so, I would go that route. It takes care of some "future proofing."

If you are an overclocker the Maximus series has a feature-packed EFI Bios geared towards that. Though this particular board is almost as twice as expensive in my country

It is twice as mush in the US. Is the Bios better than ASRock's?

I don't know if it's much better, but there are a lot of more tweaks than the Asrock's UEFI, I know because I came from the Fatality P67. wink.gif

But if you're just going for mild 24/7 overclock, the money you save will let you buy better stuff like better vid or PSU. wink.gif

The Asrock board can handle that, even up to 5.4ghz with my superpi32m/superpi benching. smile.gif I just broke mine because I was careless with putting the cpu back in the socket, I accidentally bent a couple of pins.
