Either it be epic like Oblivion .. or cost less.. The best VFM so far has been CS 1.6 ( LOOOL) cost me some 10$ and I've been playing it for the past 4 years!
Who the hell buys battlefield games for the single player? Lol...

All new games cost $50-60 when they are released. Don't like it? Wait for a price drop instead of whining about it.

Bf3 is a MP franchise, they could not have even put SP in it and nobody would care. Either or pony up or dont buy it.

Console games have a 10-20$ Licensing fee which PC games dont have. There is absolutely no reason other than EA's unrelenting greed, for a PC game to cost 60$.

Is it greed, or is that the price the market will hold? I'm betting on the latter. Some people seem to forget that corporations exist in order to make a profit. Plus none of us have seen how much the PC version cost to develop compared to the console versions.

Are the pre-order rules different in the US? I pre-ordered months ago and still have not been charged, and I am in Canada fyi. I don't think they charge in Canada until the game comes out?

I preordered through Amazon and haven't been charged. I think places like gamestop charge a small fee that goes toward the purchase of the game.

MP ONLY ?? COME ON :/ Crysis too had a successful MP .. but the single player didn't suffer.
The same with even MW2. (insane , but had oomph). You're trying to say MP is IT ? SP is an integrated part of the package and neither should be dwarfed by each other :I that just leads to an incomplete package.
They really should make the MP optional , esp for those in hostels and all where the Internet is not upto the mark. This is another discussion , and this isn't the place for it .</topic>

Barring the licensing fee.. I'm confident that margins on console games aren't as outrageous as this ! And you know it .

The rest can GO HOP
Cheaper games have done better in the past. The orange box :/ is for what ? 60$ ??

I don't get why people argue about the cost of games.

Have you people never heard about supply vs demand?

This topic is about the beta which...guess what? It's multiplayer! BF has always been about multiplayer and if you dont like that you ahould probably find another game.

Also didn't know making a profit was greed. Orange Box was released way after the release dates of the games it included. Maybe you should educate yourself and try again.
