the hd5000 series i just dont recommand to anyone, i feel the 5000series just wasnt a good batch of cards.
The 5000 Series was a great line up. It was the 5000 series that pushed AMD over nVidia in terms of market share. Not only that but it came out like 2 years ago and they are still great cards. They supported DX 11 and Eyefinity. Good energy efficiency, ran cool, just overall great cards in general.
However, their DX 11 performance wasn't the greatest, especially Tessellation. The scaling wasn't the best either, but both of these were fixed with the 6 series.
As mentioned before the 5000 didn't have the best scaling so I'd stay away from crossfiring it unless u can get a 5870 on the cheap and you want to try it out.
Stick with your card, it's still a great card and can handle anything you throw at it. You could try to sell it for the most while you can and wait for next gen cards. But I'd just stick with it, has everything you need for today, but I'm sure you already knew this since you already own it.
