****cheapest laptop??****

I am going to school for college, and I am in financial aid. I will be getting like 400$ For free from the government, ofcourse per quarter, So maybe I can save it until next quarter too? Up to 800$.

But I do need a nice laptop, I need one that is really cheap and can I want to multitask like a boss, I dont want any lag on any games on Medium Settings. (Gaming on 1024x768)

Is this possible with a range of maybe 400-800$?

Should I try newegg/Craigslist for this? If so can you give me some ideas Thanks.

Cheers <3

Try to get an ASUS G50/51 series for that price range. Or an ACER Timeline X. The 13.3 or 15.6 fits the upper part of the range and is quite powerful.

For $400 is not getting you anywhere near a dedicated graphics. Your more looking towards the ~$600 for a decent gamer.

Dont bash on me, I never had problems with tigerdirect.
This ones ~700 if u decide to save up for a more future proof laptop. With i7,4gb(plenty for gaming),and a dedicated graphics card. Also u can use rebate sites get a 4% back on it.

Damn thats not that bad. the ghz seem low and is the i7 = 6 coress? Just making sure, been awhile.

Also, lol is that 6 cores using 1.7ghz is kinda slow? cause some games only can use like 2-4cores right? Can we OC on this laptop? :O

Also, that 4gb of ram ddr3 is very nice. I know laptops are hard to compete with desktop gaming, but I know there is some nice laptops out there that are nice.

This one is only 6.99 which I think is a very nice deal, the screan size is ok... Kinda wanted a maybe 17incher but it's fine. 1024x768 on a 15inch is fine. But yeah just wondering mate, Thanks for looking for me if you AIM or msn would be more helpful, Thanks mate

The i7 has tubo boost which automatically boosts its Ghz up when necessary.

The 740QM is 4 core. The video card is weak for that laptop though.
