What kind of cooler ? - Page 2

What are your ambient conditions in the room? Warm?

If your not overclocking I dont see why the stock cooler will not be sufficient. Even running over a long period of time. The stock cooler will only struggle on high peak temps, which would be in line with stress on it or high voltages (neither of which you will be doing)

Tbh, if your concerned, spend £15 / $15 on something like the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7.

Corsair H70 / Antec Kuhler are exellent coolers, however overkill for you.

I just want to make sure it will have a long a stable life, no it won't be oced, ambient temps (basement closet) 24c year round. Hmm I have a brand new arctic freezer pro but its only a 775 socket

You could sell the 775 socket one in the For Sale section in the forums (assuming you have no need of it).

As long as your case has good circulation (i.e Air going in one end, and out the other) then the stock fan will be 100%. If you have decent thermal compound then I would use it over the standard compound. However thats a minor thing, and the standard thermal compound will be fine.
