If this never turns out working I'm going more towards pc gaming.
Ever since the new update my xbox will not update. I will sign in to my profile then it tells me I need to do the system update. I press yes and let it do it's thing. After it restarts I get an error E66 please see xbox customer support. Why is this? How can I update this? Xbox has been starting to tick me off. Pc is way more reliable.

It appears this issue affects flashed drives.
Did you flash your Xbox and you updated it while using a flashed firmware?

Surprised? Shouldn't be.
But I have no backup copies/don't even no how to make them. I still buy my games for $60 at Gamestop.

Not every user who jailbreakes their devices whats to use illegal copies, or even copies of games at all.

Well, id ask for your moneys back from your "Buddy", microsoft is always cracking down on copyright infringement, and as you have had your system "jailbroken" then they have most likely black listed you.

even if the device is flashed back to stock firmware, the ban on device will stand, and will more than likely remain on microsoft's device blacklist.
sorry

I don't think it is banned though. I updated the system before (not knowing it was flashed). How would I flash it back then? My Xbox live membership is fine I can sign in, then there is an update. Can it be flashed back without soldering or that dangerous stuff?

E66 means the console is banned from Xbox Live. Regardless of your reasons for updating firmware or flashing the system it will get your system banned from Xbox Live as it is against Xbox Live TOS to modify your system in any way.

Only way you can update the system, as far as I know, is to put another Hard drive on it with the current update already installed. It will update the console, offline, as soon as you start it up. It shouldn't do anything to the Hard Drive as it's the system itself that's banned, not the Hard Drive or user, etc. It won't allow you to go online however, but should at least allow further installs of future system updates.

Ill try it and report back.

E66 can also mean your hard drive is knackered and or the update cannot read the correct firmware to update. So looks like this 'flashed' Xbox is worthless. I've dealt with hundreds of 360's and this is a rarer error. I wouldn't bother with re flashing, ask for your money back and buy a legit console.

EDIT: I mean't buy another console as in play your PC more

Yeah it didn't work. But I was going more towards PC anyway. But I still can't find a straightforward answer to this question. In MOH limted edition is the BF3 beta code located on a little card (piece of paper) like the vip codes for BFBC2? Or will you be able to just pop MOH in and click "play BF3 beta, like halo 3 did with odst (or reach, i forgot).
