OCZ Vertex 3 Speeds on Win 7 64 bit (Asus P8P67 mobo)

Hey guys installed my vertex 3 120gb ssd into my gray sata 6gb port on the asus p8p67 mobo. Here are my speeds. Pretty pathetic to be honest.

I've installed the latest Intel rapid storage technology drivers I'm just having issues I know there has been a firmware update that might help prove it significantly it's just that it's my boot drive and i can't update the firmware if its my primary drive. I tried cloning the contents to another blank hdd but its still booting through my ssd even when i force it through my other hdd.

Any ideas or suggestions? I want to get the most out of this kickass ssd.

Cheers OCN!

First thing to do is flash to 2.11 firmware. 2.09 is documented as slower.

Secure erase the drive and install win7 fresh, no copies.

As you have a sandforce based drive you need to use the following benchmark.

Atto only uses compressible data which the sandforce is good at.

As-ssd uses incompressible data which it not. Using both gives you a better idea of real world performance and that's why OCZ themselves list as-ssd test scores on the Vertex 3 product page.
