No sli-option for 460GTX - Page 3

Hmmm. I had this happen with an MSI x58 once and it was an out of date NIC driver that I had to get the proper one from Realtek because MSI didn't have the new ones listed. Aside from double checking that all your drivers are in good order (using disk to reinstall/repair) and checking that the SLI bridge isn't defective I'm at a bit of a loss.

pm brettjv he always has something intelligent to say about SLI.

edit-are you using a dvi or hdmi?

Ehm... no one said this yet: It could be that your SLI bridge connector (on 1 of the cards) doesnt work properly. Do u got a friends pc which can test it?

I said that.

Try going into bios and making sure that one of the cards isn't in a slot that's running auto or x1.

Using both right now. I was under the impression that SLI bridges weren't necessary?

I don't think they are mandatory on x58 boards but given the circumstances I wouldn't leave anything open to suspicion.

Use just a DVI I have seen a lot of threads where people couldn't get SLI enabled when using an HDMI.

Alright I'll unplug my flatscreen and see if that matters.

Yes an SLI bridge is vital.
Not with all cards.

Updated bios, realtek, no hdmi, no auto or x1.
