You need to use an sli bridge for 460s or the option won't show up to turn on sli. If this has already been said, sorry.

Edit: I see in your OP you already are using a bridge. No clue what the problem is now sorry.

Got all the new drivers, BIOS, etc.
The parts were at my moms house, my step dad had helped me build it since it was my first PC.

After re-reading half of this thread, Im even more confused now...

Using both [HDMI and DVI] right now. I was under the impression that SLI bridges weren't necessary?
Are you using 2 monitors? Or are both HDMI and DVI hooked up to the same monitor?

Just make things easy, use ONLY the DVI and hook them up with the SLI bridge. Keep it simple.

Yeah I switched to just a DVI but doing that didn't help either.

Grow up guys, seriously. This is NOT how we do things here at OCN.

hahaudied, did you make sure that the GTX 460s you bought are identical? ie: both are 1GB versions, or both are 768mb versions.

In general with Nvidia (there are exceptions), you can only SLI cards with matching VRAMs.

Yes sir I sure did. They're both compatible but I'm not sure what my issue is.
