i5-2500K is it OK this way?

Hey folks,

I host updated BIOS and accidentially hit the auto tune button in the bios. It took my CPU to 4,3Ghz which isnt that bad actually I used to have 4 Ghz before the BIOS update. Now I'm actually thinking about keeping the stuff this auto tune did. Doesnt look to bad to me. Take a look please. Are the temps OK this way for 24/7 and long term CPU use? Dont wanna fry it xD

PS: Cooler is a Hyper212

How long was Prime running for when you took that?

I'd day 7 minutes according to that screen ^^ Temps were constant at those values +/- 1°. Guess they aint going higher anymore

Kinda high on voltage for only 4.3Ghz. These chips get almost effortlessly to 4.5, and only require some tweaking if you want to get passed that.

EDIT: And looking at the amount of time you ran Prime, it's hard to tell if it will get hotter or not. Let it run for a few hours at least, and monitor the temps. Then post a screenshot.

Those temps are perfectly fine.
Altho, what is your ambient at the moment roughly?

Try and drop the volts until you become unstable, 1.312 is what i use for my 24/7 clock but thats at 4.5ghz.

I am pretty positive you will be able to drop the volts down a few notches.

But in general those temps, clocks, voltages, etc. wont decrease the lifespan ye? I wanna use it for at least 2 or 3 years
post #9 of 16
Are you using stock cooling? Those voltages look a bit high, maybe lower the volts, then you'll get even lower temps!

@Wimmas: I'm using Hyper212. That's what I found was the most bang for the bucks
