Question: how does RAM get involved in this? I really have no idea why.
If the memory is failing, then it will have a knock on effect to the system. Did you clear the CMOS as suggested above? That does sometimes fix this issue.

79C is pretty high but still within the limits.

Just got another Black Screen with "No Signal".
This time it was during start up, it didn't even reach Windows7 loading page.

I reset CMOS and removed battery for 10 sec or so.

Hope this helps, still observing..

Definitely sounds like some kind or hardware incompatibility. I had exactly those symptoms i.e. black screen before windows log on. Can you borrow a gfx card from a mate and try?

Hardware incompatibility? What do you mean specifically?
Is it the GPU or PSU?

Ok, Disk Check was finished, but I didn't see the results.
How do you view it?

I already checked for HDD bad sectors using WDC Data Lifeguard Diagnostics and it passed with no errors.
I guess it's safe to assume HDD is ruled out.

Now, just finished running Memtest86+ v4.20.
Followed the instruction, 1 stick at a time and clearing CMOS after each run.
All went well after 1 pass, no errors. How many passes are needed anyway?

But I noticed something odd while running Memtest.
For RAM Stick 1, settings show:
533MHz (DDR1067)
For RAM Stick 2, settings show:
200MHz (DDR400)

It was odd because I'm running both my RAM at 667MHz.
Is there something wrong here?

I checked CPUz just after the tests and it shows 667MHz.
Just like my previous settings:

I'm now inclined to think it's a bad PSU.

To recap:
I already ran MSi Kombustor for 2hrs and all went well, no artifacts and temps maxed at 72c.
Does that rule out the GPU?

How to test PSU?
I suspect both PSU and AVR.

There isn't really a way to test the PSU other than trying it with another one. Try and get a spare one before splashing out on a new one.

In my opinion, the running of Kombuster for 2 hours doesn't rule out the GPU completely but it does suggest trying something else like the PSU beforehand.

Are you running a set of dual channel sticks (exactly the same)

My PSU is still under warranty, so most likely I will bring my PC to my retailer.
If I rule out PSU, then maybe only PSU.

I'm running generic RAM.
Kingston ValueRAM KVR133D3N9/2G (2 sticks)

How do I rule out GPU then?

Try another GFX card in there and see if it still does it. This is an annoying problem with a multitude of causes. You only need to google 'no display on monitor' or something similar to see.

It's just a step by step process i'm afraid.
