Really bad problem with hdmi and xbox 360

Ok so I have my xbox connected to my monitor via hdmi to dvi and when I turned it on I noticed something was wrong... there was no audio -.- so I did all this crazy stuff to try and get it back and one of them was to disable display detection or something and when I did my xbox just didnt even show please help

Uh... I'm not sure what to tell you. You won't get audio through DVI.

Correct me if im wrong but the dvi doesnt carry sound, your best bet is to use hdmi to hdmi

Your monitor has HDMI input. Use a HDMI to HDMI cable and you will get audio. If you live in the states or in Canada, www.monoprice.com has excellent pricing on cables.
