How do you disable onboard sound in BIOS?

I am getting my Creative titanium sound card today and I have heard that you need to disable onboard sound for it to work properly.

Also, I have another sound card plugged into a PCI slot right now so I need to delete the drivers.

So how can I disable onboard sound in BIOS? I don't know how to work with the BIOS so I need some instructions

Why not get the Asus Xonar Essence STX?

The bios should be in your manual?
Basically head over to Integrated Peripherals and disable Onboard Audio Function

Its in your bios dude, i think its under something like onboard etc--

Because it's like $200? The one I bought was only $50.

You should be able to run them both without issues, I can with an Asus. If your not going to use it though you might as well disable it, I think it's in the Integrated Peripherals on Gigabyte and press Del on boot to get into bios.

Shouldn't need to disable, I installed a sound card last night with both working still.

It will be called onboard sound or usb audio.

One example you can look for in the bios is

Onboard Sound:Enabled (This is how it should look now)
Change that to disable using your plus and minus keys or something similar.

You might also see

Intel HD Audio:Enabled
or
AC97 CODEC/Audio:Enabled

As said above, it may be under integrated peripherals or similar in bios menu.
