BSOD on start up (6770 GPU)

Thread Starter
Thanks in advance!

My 6770 HD was running fine for a day or so then I get BSOD on start up. When it finally does boot up I only get 1-5 fps in any game I run.

I have tried 11.3 11.4 11.5 11.6 11.7 drivers and they all do not work properly. After I install them I get a yellow question mark at the top stating that some warnings happened during the install (probably the main problem). How do I install the drivers correctly? I've used driver sweeper and then rebooted before installing the drivers. I've also removed the card and re-seated it and ran MemTest86+ and there were no errors after 5 passes.

Conclusion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On your computer a total of 16 crash dumps have been found. Only 14 could be analyzed. 2 third party drivers have been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:

atikmpag.sys (AMD multi-vendor Miniport Driver, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.)

If no updates for these drivers are available, try searching with Google on the names of these drivers in combination the errors that have been reported for these drivers and include the brand and model name of your computer as well in the query. This often yields interesting results from discussions from users who have been experiencing similar problems.

Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is actually responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.

11.4 drivers actually installed properly (got a green thumbs up symbol) played Rift all day fine at 30+ fps got home from the bar tonight and I'm stuck at 1-7 fps. What the hell is going on with this card or the drivers.

I can't boot it in safe mode. When that option comes up after a BSOD the keyboard doesn't work, but it does work during when you can boot into BIOS. I have to wait 30 seconds and it will boot up normally.

I haven't tried installing as an admin.

Temps are at 27 degrees Celsius at Idle. Temps were 30 after playing RIFT for 5-10 min at the crap 1-7 fps.
