Yes they can, though I'd wait for the black edition processors.

there is only so much mobo designers can do when PCIe (and therein, 80 traces!! for 16lane slot) are right from the CPU socket on modern CPU designs

But this + A8-3500 + HD 6670 = best all around gaming/HTPC
The rated TDP is somewhat high (On the 100w models, but not the 65w), but the actual consumption is solid considering what's included with the APU package. The E-350 is too weak for my needs and the E-450 does not look like a game changer. It's a multi-purpose box, not just a media/file server.

yeah, these are also:

first AMD 32nm product
first AMD CPU (strangely, their GPU has already done power gating for a different reason ) with C6 power gate function. Intel has done this for a while, basically means the APU can completely power down certain parts of the chip, with NO power being fed to those regions.

In theory, means this chip could have a lower average power consumption (for HTPC use) than a Zacate APU would

I always thought that the best form factor for A75 is ITX .. I mean whats the point to make a mobo with dual PCIE slot, if you put a video card in there you will want to do hybrid xfire with the APU and not Crossfire with a 2nd video card.. ?! Unless you have 2x better graphic but then whats the point to buy an APU .......

So Good Job ASUS!
