This is a bad story considering I want to get an Alienware M18X for college, same situation as OP, but I'd buy it with an i7 2860QM and 2x GTX 580m (and get 16GB of RAM, SSD + 750GB HDD from Newegg).

I'd find it more useful than getting my sig rig.
