Whats a good Headset for Music/Gaming? ($200 budget)

Thread Starter
Hi there OCN I'm looking for some headset recommendations.
Anyways...Recently my cheap 10 dollar Logitech headset broke. So now I'm looking for a new headset. I'm looking to spend about $100 but can stretch my budget up to around $200 dollars. The headset will mainly be used for listening to my Dub step and talking to friends over Skype. I'm also looking for it to have:7.1 sound, Good Bass, A microphone,Wireless(Can go wired but Wireless is better for me in this situation) and decent enough sound for gaming. Im in the US and would like to buy from a trusted site like Newegg.
Thanks for all the help

I personally use my Audio Technical ATH-M50's for everything, music, movies, games, music on the go, etc. They are difinitively one of the best headphones in its price range.

I will warn you though, they take a lot of time to burn in. I have had mine for around 2 years, and are really nicely burnt it, but my brother has had his for about 6 months, and still have a long way to go, although my usage for the headphones have also probably been way more intense than his too.

Once they burn in though, they are amazing. You don't need an amp either, but if you do use one, it will complement it very nicely.

So you want a wireless headset? I think this is uncharted territory for most of OCN since everyone is used to recommending wired headphones and a clip-on microphone...I personally don't have any suggestions for you, but from what I have read, you'll get more bang for your buck if you get wired headphones and a clip-on mic.

get the Ultrasone 550 pro for 140$ , and with what left invest it in new sound card in case you are using on-board sound

I have a friend than uses Logitech G930's and says they are sick. Says the bass is a bit overwhelming at times, but that can be tuned within the equalizer settings.

RS 170 or RS 180 , its wireless with no drawbacks , very lightweight , very comfy easpads , doesnt pinch , walk around the house and do your chores .

Slight con : on start up it screw up the connection , then I repair connection and it doesnt do it again untill it powers back up again , its not the type of headset you need to constantly recharge so that problem is very minor .

Overall 98% satisfied . amazing comfort , 240 grams with batteries .
