with your setup you should see near 60 constant, something is wrong

Would you mind sharing some of those tricks? I've tried everything I could, and with the iCEnhancer I get avg 30fps.

BF3 is AMD sponsored. Also in a huge MP game which Dice is not going to favour like Crytek did. I too did not go CF because of the problems it will give with new games. First i will see how my current card handles it and then upgrade to HD 7950/70 or GTX670/80.

AMD cards + the latest patch = awful performance and stuttering.

Hardware accelerated video in flash will downclock your cards. Its a hardware issue with AMD cards.

I think the game hates AMD cards, because I had to run everything on low to get like 30 FPS on my sig rig, but with a HD 5770, when I got my 580, it is completely maxed out now. and it runs smooth as butter.

Its that AMD in over eight months now hasn't gotten around to patching up a a compatibility issue with the latest patch.

Thread Starter
Well... A lot of interesting post in this thread thanks a lot guys for all the knowledge and what not this is what makes OCN an awesome community!

So i tried the first method that was suggested to turn off night time shadows and i went from a horrible 20-40 to a 50-56, i then proceeded to turn all the sliders to 100 and i still got the steady frames!

I also learn that the 570 wasn't out performing my card its just that my friend had the 1.0.4 patch so he didn't have all the settings i did thus he was getting a good FPS.

I than went and tried the diskcache program in server mode like the guy suggested and what do you know I can max out the game and not dip below 50

I find it funny though that the game can't hit 60 just once....but meh whatever high 50's is good enough for me...

And the hardware acceleration with flash and dramatic low FPS is a confirmed problem with just ATI hardware and not Nvidia? if so than hopefully we see a fix by BF3 time.

Turn off Vsync to get more than a max of 56Fps.

So a few months ago i tried my 570 with GTAIV and turned it all to the MAX 1920x1200.. with a horrible 20/30fps..

how do you guys get 60+? is it because of the sandy bridges?

From what I've heard the part that process hardware accelerated video on AMD cards is tied to the low power 3d clocks so it will force those clocks any time that hardware accelerated video kicks on. This isn't the case with Nvida, different architecture.

The only workaround that I know of is to edit the vga bios so that the low power 3d clocks are the same as the normal clocks. Due to a driver limitation this won't work on 6xxx series cards.

Here is a better explanation.
