No, but it can raise the ceiling.

I don't care for the R.A.T. line or G500 for the same two reasons: Sensor choice and weight. The Twin-Eye in the R.A.T. has Z-Axis tracking issues and the ADNS-9500 in the G500 has positive acceleration (and negative on cloth pads).

The G500 also has an off-center sensor which can be annoying to some.

I'm quite pleased with my R.A.T.5. Really, I don't see why anyone would have problems with it aside from grip and aesthetic preference.

The other thread with the G400 review, it says the mouse jitter when you install SetPoint. Have you tried uninstalling SetPoint and seeing if you still get jitters when using the mouse?
