Oh, I'm quite serious. There's a difference between software patents and patents for something like a keyboard, with software you can patent just about anything you want if you have the money, with most other things, the burden on the patent filer is higher. I mean, it's quite conceivable that they don't have a patent on their keyboard designs - the layout is pretty common, even before they introduced this design (the fullsize is little different to a standard PC keyboard, and the compact one is like a lot of laptops out there), and the rest of it is just a thin slab of aluminium. Besides, this one doesn't have USB ports like the real ones do.
But even if they did. it's not really worth their time. The reason they sue Samsung et al. is because their phones make them tens of billions of dollars per year. Most of the keyboards they make are probably just bundled for free with their computers.Edited by ch_123 - 8/2/11 at 2:55pm
