Headphones good for audigy 2 ZS

Hi,

i'am using now Logitech 5.1 x530 and the sound is sometimes awful. I wanted to buy another speakers, but 2.1 with better quality. Yet, the price is too high (maybe i don't know which to search). So i've decided too buy headphones instead.

I'm absolutly green in the topic of audio, so please, give me best options. The price shouldn't be higher than 100$ (but obviously the cheaper the better).

Thanks!

Both the a700 and the ad700 have very little bass. The ad700 will be better for gaming than the a700 as it has a superior sound stage. The a700 sounds slightly better in most regards to me, and has a tad more bass than its open eared counterpart, the ad700. The m50's, are as many people classify them, "Fun". They will not reproduce an accurate sound stage, making them abysmal for gaming and relying on your sound stage to try to pinpoint another's location. However, in most regards, they sound superior to the ad700's or the a700's. I think they are inherently better sounding with some drawbacks which can be fixed through the use of an equalizer, but have a more powerful and punchy bass, something which not all people may like. They are more portable than the a700 or ad700. All in all you may also want to look at the sennheiser hd 555's and the a700's as a must for gaming. The m50's will be a lot of fun for music, but may be uncomfortable depending on the size of your head. It is up to you in the end. I personally have a set of m50's I use for listening to music on the go and in general keep my a700's at home next to my computer because of how massive they are. I don't know if this helps or not. I am far from the be all end all on opinions on music and audio but this is what I have noted and I've seen many others observe. If you need more advice, ask away!

I think, that i would stick to my x530 when gaming and putting up headphones when listening to music. When gaming, the sound isn't so bad :-).

So ATH M50, yep?

It still depends on what kind of music you listen to. If its bass heavy then go ahead. If its rock, then maybe Grados. Research yourself on which headphones are right for you
