intel core i7 870 coverclocking help

Hey guys, I just built my first computer and I think it's not running as well as it should be.

Specs:
Overclocked from 2.93Ghz to 3.53 Ghz using Asus motherboard program.
Temp currently at 63c for CPU and 39c for system.
Core voltage 1.208V

I was wonder if i'm missing certain settings to cool down my computer or make it run faster and better. Thanks.

yes you need to set your overclock in the bios. people will tell you that software is fine to use.

I'm telling you, you need to overclock from bios.

You probably need some good air flow, use prime 95 to torture test.

Set your system to shut down if CPU temps hit 90degrees celcius

Cool, thanks a lot for the reply. I will try that. Should i let prime 95 run for a long time to ensure stability? Also, how do i set my system to shut down at 90c? bios?
