HDMI to DisplayPort

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I need some help finding an adapter to connect my Xbox 360 to a DisplayPort monitor. I was thinking of finding an HDMI to DP cable, but apparently all the ones on Newegg are DP to HDMI and can't be used backwards . Can anyone point me to a working HDMI to DP cable/adapter? Thanks!

This is the only thing I can find that *MIGHT* work - http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

Problem is that DP supports a much higher amount of bandwidth (i.e. it can do 2560 x 1600+ vs 1920 x 1200@60hz) so its sort of like getting a VGA to DVI connector.

is it your U2311h? Use the official VGA kit from MS. No overscan issues, blurriness, etc. I did that in the past with my U2311h + xbox360 (and I've had some 3 xbox 360s, too....)

I'm using that right now, but I'll be grabbing a Blackmagic intensity which requires me to use HDMI in and out of it, so i want to use an HDMI to DP adapter. I can't use a DVI adapter either since that's what connects to my PC. And this is gonna be connected to my second U2311H, as I'm grabbing a new one tomorrow

That won't do, it says in the description it has to be a DisplayPort Signal, going to HDMI.
