force gt issues, I think

Thread Starter
After about a week of owning my computer and new corsair force gt I started to get bsods and lockups of my computer in and out of games, thinking it was some overclocks I had going I redused everything to stock. no dice, still lockups, black screens, and bsods. I think it is my ssd because using multiple speed testing software cant complete a test with out a lockup, bsod or an error. Is there anything else I can do before I try and rma with newegg or corsair?

RMA will not help unless newegg agrees to a different drive.

If they will, go with the Crucial M4.

really, why do you say that? Is it my drive or all of the force gts?

It's all the drives using the new sandforce controller. OCZ, Corsair, Patriot etc are all having problems and it's more common with the intel p67 and z68 chipsets according to OCZ. They release firmware updates that are supposed to solve the issues yet people still have problems.

For whatever reason, Crucial is not having the same issues.

Check with newegg if they will take the drive back and send you a Crucial m4 instead.
