Fellow OCN'ers smile.gif

Sick and tired of modding my CM 335 , sold it smile.gif

Now I'm rather fed up with my bland looking HAF 922.

Where do I get started with this ???

Ideas ??

Cut out a side window ?

Shroud the top of the cabinet ?? With what ?

Chrome spraypaint the front grills ?? Or come up with some wacky color combination!

Inside, I was planning a carbon fiber re-surfacing of the motherboard panel.
This is it:
feature2.png

Note : AM running an air cooling system and only my 24 pin is sleeved , improperly at that ! Have a ton of UV green and blue sleeves ..
Also have dual Red-CCFLs .. can come up with a red/black combination too smile.gif

I have a 3.5 Scythe fan controller ( Chrome brushed aluminum ) installed.

Have a V6GT with a brown motherboard and a brown gfx card, tons of R4's .. they're red / blue LED 120mm black fans..

Bottomline .. Keen on a RED / BLACK / Chrome look .. smile.gif
Let me know if it sticks !

Well, as an alternative to chroming the front, you could hide the fan controller and any DVD drives you've got with the mesh on the front, you just take off the knobs on the controller and cut little holes in the mesh to let you put the mesh over the controller with the knobs sticking out.

I'd carbon fibre the mobo tray out of the four choices if I were in your shoes but I'm pretty conservative in terms of my PC, I'd prefer it to look as clean as possible rather than being particularly eye-catching.

Edit: Also I don't actually own a 922, but if you want advice on what to do with it there should be a 922 club on here somewhere and they'll have some good ideas. smile.gif

It's here.http://www.overclock.net/computer-cases/392179-official-cooler-master-haf-x-932-a.html#post4638579 And that link goes to a post with a few handy mod tutorials, there's also some finished builds to help give you ideas.
Happy modding smile.gif

Thanks a lot for the link smile.gif Am too lazy myself ! A bit fed up with steam not letting me log in :/ Have a funny feeling my account's gone : even the secret question has changed!! Good lord frown.gif

Enough of that smile.gif

Well , what's this for starters ?? Forgive my paint skills. I'm pretty nubish !

Have worked with acrylic before but never got around to cutting any fan slots. That scares me .. though with what I have in mind , there should be no need for any fan slots at all!!
With the way the side panel protrudes, the entire panel will need to be chopped down and then I'd have to paint other parts internally.. this way I can slot the acrylic while giving just a glimpse of what lies within smile.gif

[IMG]luqte.jpg

Btw , I like my fan controller but I got the silver one despite ordering a black aluminum variant! If I made the front striking by taking off all the 5.25Inch bay covers and Chroming them .. It seems like an effortless mod smile.gif
Alternatively , I could have all the mesh ( bottom part included) sprayed red smile.gif the fan panel would stick out a bit less.
Here's the panel :

OK , front panels going gray .. materials arriving in a week's time :

Primer ( self etching)
All those sandpapers smile.gif
Clear coat .. Since I'm just doing the front panels right now , this shouldn't take more than an hour at worst..

Need a jigsaw for the side panel though, my drill won't suffice and my hand shears aren't heavy enough!

Any alternative for the rubber riveting used around the cut out edges?? I can't seem to get any here frown.gif
