also a dynamic game contains MORE content for a "casual" player then does one that repeats itself. what happens to a lot of the casual players is they are forced to do less demanding things that dont really matter and im sure they are fine with it but would much pref more OPTIONS. a truely dynamic game has options that far exceed anything wow could patch add or expand to

it is also the same basis that sustains more hardcore players without crossing over each other

all im saying is wow is too big for what it actually is, a mediocre game that was basically just the FIRST. show me what FIRST product you are using today? steve jobs is famous for taking the garbage first products and making them what they SHOULD/COULD be.

So much wrong.

Your definition of "cool" is not universal.

I seriously can't understand your "casual paragraph". Are you saying that there's too much casual content, but that casual players should be given more options? Isn't that kind of contradictory?

WoW was NOT the first. WoW added lots of features from a lot of other MMOs to make itself popular, almost nothing was ground-breakingly "new". It's never been a product of risks or incredible innovation.

I may check this out.

But really, everyone knows this is just another expansion aimed at milking both the ancient game engine and the playerbase for all it's worth. Many will still be willing to continue paying the exact same sub fees (no, Blizzard aren't about to drop the sub fees by a single cent) facing severe class balance problems in both PvE and PvP for another 1-2 years, while the main chunk of development effort continues to go into D3 and SC2.

I would mention flocking over to proper next-gen MMO like GW2 where you won't get charged monthly, but everybody already knows that even if they've been living under a rock biggrin.gif

Oh man, I loved the Panda hero in the Frozen Thrown. As much as I think WoW is for the gamer who knows nothing of gaming, I might have to check this out.

How dare a corporation get as much money as it can from its products. When Blizzard adds content, it's "milking it". If it didn't add anything, it would be negligence. Whatever they do, it's wrong.
Unbalanced gameplay? Arguably. Mindless? No. No more mindless than 95% of popular games. Using 10-20 abilities is not more mindless than aiming+shooting.

But it's a bit of both really. Blizzard manage to add tons of "content" to their games - without really adding anything at all. The design, art, content, balance, etc development teams have been slashed down drastically over the years because new things are extremely easy and efficient to design and release, the game engine has remained the same.
Class balance tweaks (tweaks, not revamps) happen once every 3-6 months instead of every 4-6 weeks like they did in WotLK.

Read the patch notes for 4.3 - so far Zarhym (community developer) has given multiple replies, all of which have confused/infuriated people even more and none have justified making the playerbase wait almost 8 months to see such basic tweaks being made to almost-dead talent trees that needed them long ago.

But I don't BLAME Blizzard for cutting costs, re-hashing content and caring less about class balance - if I was in their shoes, I would do exactly the same thing. Millions of people will continue to pay as long as Blizzard keep throwing them a bone once every few months - it's easy money in the pocket, why not do it?
But that's from the company's perspective, not the player's perspective. From a player's perspective I would much rather try something brand new like GW2 that are trying a very fresh approach to MMO's. I completely skipped WAR, LotRO, Aion, Rift, etc because none of them did a proper job of delivering a fun and different MMO experience (if there is such a thing).
