lol running prime 95 now temps havent gone past 60C making me feel like a liar now

also with disabling HT will i lose performance in games

No, because no games take advantage of it.

Anyway, I still think your temperature of 77 in IBT is not bad at all.

Do you know that more than half of the people here who have the 2600K don't have ANY need for HyperThreading whatsoever? Most seem to have gone with the 2600K for the same reason why many people went with Windows 7 Ultimate!

i reveresed the the top intake fan on my case, and that made a huge difference.

BTW corsair hx650 is not overkill it's just a legendary reliable psu.

TBH your cooler is pretty ****, you got high clocks, u need a megahalem or something high end cooling. Frio is ok for low clocks i believe, u need a top end cooler

ok as it turns out my CPU cooler is making a liar out of me i did this test yesterday and got 76C today im getting 67C max and the room temp is the same 24C maybe yesterday real temp 3.67 glitched
