Help getting maximus iv extreme to boot.....

Thread Starter
Just finished my new build and I'm getting. A2 on the debug led and the boot device led is on.

A2 is IDE detect. But not sure why us just sits at that code

Also I have tried different data cables and different Sara ports on the mobo.

Now I don't think any of my components are bad since it actually booted into windows once and everything seemed fine. Except CPU gave me a error and displayed nothing but gpu-z worked and saw both my 470's

Everytime I try to change something around I get the same error. Just sits on "a2". And the boot device led is on.

Any help would be great before it goes in the trash and I buy a $400 laptop.

Don't mind the mess. I just want it to work fir now.....

Also I don't even get a post screen.... Nothin. Gpus are in slots 2 and 4. With the sli bridge removed and both monitors on slot 4 gpu

Well tore everything out of the case and it works fine. Just sucks I had to put the stock intel cooler and evga cooling back on. I guess I'll try it again this evening or tomorrow and hopefully it works
