Worth it to get another OCZ Vertex 2 for RAID0?

OK NEW Question. Should i then, get another Vertex 2 60gigs for RAID0?

How well would this work? Vertex 2 and Agility (I dont think its Agility 2) and the vertex is 60gigs and the Agility is 30gigs.... so can i RAID0 them? or is it just not worth it?

You can't put drives in Raid 0 if they aren't the same size as far as I know. Maybe if you short stroke one but that's a waste imo. I've never done a raid setup so I don't know much about the subject.

And that sounds good, Vertex for Boot, Apps, and Games, and the Agility for even more games Or just use the Vertex 2 and put the Agility in another system.

I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to this stuff, but it is my understanding that the improvements gained from putting SSD drives in Raid 0 are more or less negligible, especially when considering the cost ($$$) of doing so.

I personally think you might be better of using that money to upgrade other parts of your pc.

Don't you lose TRIM when you RAID0?

i had read that TRIM is useless since SSDs have garbage collection or something... i could be wrong though.

The answer is, as with many things PC,... "yes" & "no"... if you have money, like say ~$650 for an LSI 9280 - 8 port, or $580 for a 4-port, RAID card, then "yes" smoking results can be acheived. Out of the box, on a standard MB with crappy "on-board" RAID controllers... "no, not really".
