New Computer Doesn't Come out of Sleep?

Thread Starter
Hey guys. I just built my first system:
i7-2600k
ASUS P8P67 DELUXE Mobo
OCZ SSD
2X HD Raid
Asus GTX 570
Corsair 850W
HAFX

When The system goes to sleep, and then it wakes up, it makes the sound as if its starting up (the cd drive makes a very specific sound when you start it up without a cd), and the lights come on, but it seems like nothing ever happens on the screen. I have to hold the power button down, and then turn it on again for it to work again. This is not ideal at all. Any ideas what could cause this, or what I could do to fix it?

Thanks!

are all specific drivers installed for all te parts including cd drives and mobo?
(win7 generic drivers dont count)

could be something windows related as well, as mentioned above some kind of driver conflict.

I know the p8p67 pro, like I have, has that problem and it's a known issue that Asus readily admits to. I'm not certain that the deluxe shares this problem though. Anyone with a deluxe care to chime in?

Go to Control Panel > System & Security > Power Options

Then click on the "Change plan settings" of the plan that you are using.

Click on "Change advanced power settings"

Click on the "Sleep" Tab.

Then Click on the "Allow Hybrid Sleep" tab.

Change the setting to off.

See if that fixes it for you. This happened a while ago to me after a windows update. This fixed it for me.

I have this problem as well. Trying to get help from ASUS support, but they said BIOS update should have fixed it and I probably got a bad board.

disable sleep mode completely, it happens with my Asus Mobo as well... it's a known issue to my understanding.

Or if it's like my Sabertooth; disable PLL Overvoltage and the sleep functions work just fine.
