How to set Vertical & Horizontal refresh rate?

Thread Starter
I have the HP 2009M monitor and my eyes can barely handle 60hz, so i created a custom resolution @ 76hz in the Nvidia control panel.

I checked the monitors OSD menu and it clearly says it's running at 76hz (vertical) but also says 71hz (horizontal). In the product specifications manual on HP's site it clearly says this monitor supports a horizontal refresh rate of 83hz and vertical of 76hz. I notice when my mouse goes up & down it's pretty silky but can't say the same for when it goes left & right. I know this sounds extra anal but i want to get both the V/H refresh rates running together, at a solid 76hz if possible (even 75hz would be GREAT!).

Anyone know of any programs where i can force the V/H refresh, instead of just the vertical?

Rep+ to helpers!

Thank you

Hmm I always thought monitors refreshed vertically only...?

Unless I'm mistaken...

I'm pretty sure the horizontal is always a little lower? Also, when product specs list the supported refresh rates, the maximums are always for lower resolutions. They don't factor in people overclocking the refresh rate at the monitor's native resolution.
