Do I get TRIM from non Intel controllers? (SATA 6Gbps)?

Thread Starter
So, I have a LGA 1366 Mobo (X58 Chipset) and ICH10R. No native 6GBps SATA. Instead my Mobo utilizes the Marvell 9128 PCIe SATA 6Gb/s controller.

I want to get a Intel 510 SSD (6Gbps) and use that for my OS boot drive. My only concern is performance and TRIM support. Will there be any issues?

The Marvell controller does support TRIM but make sure you use the Intel RST driver and not the Marvell driver
